CARWORLD Inc., the company that first started in a small office along a railroad track in the City of San Fernando and which has now flourished into the Laus Group of Companies an empire of more than 50 auto dealerships located across Central and Northern Luzon on Tuesday, July 31, celebrated 40 years of “passion for cars and customer care.” Speaking with the officers and staff during the intimate anniversary celebration at the Carworld Pampanga Training Center, LausGroup chairman and CEO Levy P. Laus shared that the four-decade milestone is the fruit of the company’s utmost dedication to provide the highest quality products and services to their customers. “All of these happened because we are blessed and grateful, and we made sure that everyone is involved in the making and building of the LausGroup. And today, as we move forward, we continue to grow together as we welcome more opportunities that will help us fulfill our mission in nation building,” he said. He added that through the support of his officers and employees which is now over 2,000 in totality from just five during Carworld’s early years, the LausGroup is able to accomplish many feats and further meet the market’s rapid growth and demand. “I am very thankful that I am deeply supported by our executive committee composed of professional managers, hardworking family members, and key officers of the LausGroup who are all committed in making sure that our stakeholders are happy and satisfied with our performance,” noted Laus. The visionary then relayed that with the LausGroup’s enduring vision to uplift the countryside through valuable investments that will also generate decent jobs for his kababayans, the company will soon expand its operations. “We are going to launch more dealerships in the near future. We are in a situation of inescapable expansion. For over 40 years, we have prepared our company to respond to opportunities and the shifting of business and development of Metro Manila to the countryside, and right now is the right time to take advantage of it,” he said. Laus disclosed that the LausGroup will acquire a line-up dealerships including Ducati, Harley Davidson, Polaris, Changhe, Mini Cooper, Jeep, Foton, and Peugeot, among others. A total of 18 dealerships are in the pipeline, he added. These will be in addition to the conglomerate’s 13 major automotive brands namely Mitsubishi, Fuso, Hyundai, Hyundai Trucks and Buses, Ford, Chevrolet, BMW and Motorrad, Volkswagen, Kia, Suzuki, Nissan, Haima, and Carmix–the region’s trusted source of quality and affordable pre-owned cars. Laus shared that the LausGroup’s triumphant years can be attributed to the company’s core values of integrity, efficiency, productivity, and most importantly, hardwork, which he regarded as his key to success. “When I established Carworld in 1978, I did not dream to be successful and I never dreamed of success. All I knew was I needed to work and I did work very hard. And I would like to stress that hardwork is no substitute to anything. The key is always hardwork. I believe it is what led me here today. What we see now is the outcome of 40 years of hardwork,” he said. Aside from auto dealerships, the LausGroup is also engaged in media, financing, food, non-life insurance, hotel and event center, and real estate businesses under its umbrella.
