CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — LausGroup of Companies (LGC) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Levy P. Laus led the conglomerate’s executives in switching on thousands of lights over the weekend at the LGC Complex along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in this city. A new way of celebrating the annual Lights On ceremony was held as Laus noted that this year, the event was highlighted by the gift giving for the Children’s Joy Foundation Inc. and TuloysaBahay Bata Foundation beneficiaries. .

“Tonight is very important because for the first time, we invited children, for which Christmas is actually dedicated. For this year, we want to truly celebrate the Yuletide season by giving back. This annual Lights On ceremony is our way of keeping the Christmas tradition alive,” he said.

Laus noted that the symbolic event coincided with the start of the Advent. “Today is also the Advent. Advent is actually the start of the season when Christians will start counting the days prior to the birth of Jesus Christ,” he shared. He added that the Christmas season is a time for the whole LausGroup of Companies family to reflect and embrace the blessings given throughout the year. “We, in the LausGroup would like to celebrate Christmas in such a way that we don’t miss out one important part of each year which somehow is also the purpose of the hardwork, dedication, sacrifices, and the daily grind that we do every day,” he said. The chairman then announced that a new recreational complex will rise in the area by next year, an addition to the recently opened LausGroup Event Centre, a world-class venue for special celebrations, activities, and conferences. “As part our commitment in transforming this place into one beautiful community, we will open up additional facilities in the area. This will be for the employees, for the general public, for the community here in San Fernando and in Central Luzon. We’re putting up some attractions like restaurants. We will have Pancake House, Dencio’s, and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, among others. The groundbreaking will happen next month, and construction will begin in the next four months,” he said.
