“IBALIK ang sigla, ibalik ang saya ng lokal na ekonomiya!”

So goes the buzz as LausGroup-run regional TV network CLTV36 celebrated on Friday, May 20, 2022 its 15th year of championing local pride and bring the “ka-rehiyon” to the fore amid the pandemic and onwards to economic recovery.

For starters over the weekend, CLTV36 gathered business leaders and players in a bizcon with Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. directors Rene Romero and Teresa David-Carlos, together with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Pampanga chief Elenita Ordonio.

Aside from paying tribute to its partners in the appreciation night, CLTV36 also opened a trade fair and photo exhibit at Robinsons Starmills which will run until May 30, 2022.

CLTV36 Deputy General Manager Billy San Juan told SunStar Pampanga that after 15 years, the networks sees itself developing audiences to truly champion local pride.

“We see ourselves developing different audiences both in digital and social media platforms and on television. But when we say local pride, we focus on the local audiences and even intertionally, like if there is a Kapampangan community in the U.S., we could tailor our content for that local community,” he said.

San Juan added that “if there is a local product, we could market this product internationally. So that this the direction of CLTV, especially in on this 15th anniversary, we decided to host a business conference and trade fair because we want to help the local economy recover and the people of Central Luzon to prosper by providing market information, interactivity of the market through the media so we can recover what we lost during the pandemic.”

He shared that moving forward, shows of CLTV will be a mix of news, business, lifestyle, entertainment and features all geared towards economic recovery, and will be accessible in digital platrforms, including the soon-to-be migrated digital television transmission making CLTV36 available in the palm of your hand.

“All of these will be our little contribution to help communities as we champion local pride,” said San Juan. (JTD)
