CARWORLD, Inc. on Friday, June 10, 2022, rolled out the new Mitsubishi Xpander through the all-day “Xplore the new Xpander Test Drive’ event at the LausGroup Event Centre Boulevard along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in the City of San Fernando.

According to Mitsubishi CarWorld Vice President and Brand Group Head Melo Alabado, the new Xpander is a top of the line crossover MPV that boasts of convenient features designed to bring comfort and suit the lifestyle of families on the road.

“This one is perfect for families with its overall design, features and performance. It definitely is a top of the line vehicle in the industry today,” he shared.

The Xpander is powered by a 1.5L MIVEC engine (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system) that gives a more powerful performance but with lower fuel consumption. The engine is coupled with a reliable 4-Speed Automatic Transmission which feeds power to the wheels while maximizing fuel economy.

The Xpander now has an Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Auto Hold function, which keeps pressure on the brakes automatically in traffic, and what’s more, it is the only vehicle in its class with Cruise Control. It makes maintaining your speed easier – even if you release your foot from the accelerator. It also helps to reduce driver fatigue on long journeys.

The new Xpander bears Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield front face that expresses power and reassurance which strengthens the Xpander’s styling further enhanced by the two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels for best-in-class ground clearance. the LED headlights housed in a new T-shape lamp design for better forward visibility at night. At the rear, it has an upgraded LED combination tail lamp which continues the T-shaped lighting motif that makes it look wider and provide a more stable impression. Plus, the new Xpander has folding side mirrors with a press of a button that gives it a touch of luxury and convenience.

Inside, the new Xpander exudes a calm, welcoming space with a high level of comfort based on the Japanese ‘Omotenashi’ or hospitality design philosophy throughout the cabin area. It is loaded with Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Digital Climate Control with rear aircon, Engine Start/Stop Button, and 6-speaker system which includes 2 treble speakers for that additional sound layer.

And of course, comfortable seating. Folding down the large center armrest in the second row and with its 60:40 split, it lends the new Xpander’s occupants captain-like seats. The large armrest now offers cup holders, but with it raised, the middle row can comfortably accommodate 3 adults with much headroom to spare than any other vehicle in its class. It also slides fore and aft for easy access to the third row. Added to these are lots and lots of storage space.

The best-selling MPV in the country starts from P1,050,000.

“I invite everyone to take a look at the new Xpander and test drive it in all CarWorld showrooms in Pampanga, Marilao, Malolos, Subic, Tarlac and Bataan and discover what’s in store with the top of the line ride,” said Alabado. (JTD)
